Arlene
Hofmann Arlene has lived in the NYC area since 1967 and, since 1985, in New
Rochelle, NY (home of Dick and Laura Petrie), just north of NYC (30 minutes to
Grand Central and "45 minutes to Broadway," to quote George M. Cohan). She has
been single, married, widowed, and divorced. She has two children — a girl
(36 years) and a boy (35 years) — and three grandsons (16 years, 4 years, 2
year). She has had several cats over the last 20 years, and, now, has two —
a 5-year old grey Tuxedo, Kamira, and a 1-year old black Tuxedo, Mz Bibbz.

in her home office After high school, Arlene hit just about all of
the colleges in the NY-NJ area (Douglass College, School of Visual Arts, Columbia
General Studies, Pace College, Pace University, Rutgers University, Pace Law
School). As an undergraduate, she majored in math, poli sci, art, math (again!),
and economics. Then, she went for an MA in economics, a PhD in economics, and a
JD. Her greatest achievenment was to return to Rutgers for her doctoral degree and
teach Douglass girls after being told that she would amount to nothing when she
dropped out of Douglass.
Arlene has taught at Douglass College, Rutgers
University (Newark), Seton Hall, Pace University, St. Peter's College, and St.
John's University, where she has been since 1980. She has never been in the
military. She never touches the stuff!!!
