Sylvia Colon went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, May 4, 2002, at her home in Voorhees, NJ. She was 55 years of age.
Sylvia was born in the Bronx, NY, but she resided in Voorhees, NJ, for the past 3 years, after moving there from Bellmawr, NJ. She worked as a secretary for L3 Communications in Camden, NJ, for 22 years, until October 2000, when she went out on disability.
Sylvia was the beloved wife of Robert W. Beebe Jr. of Voorhees, NJ, and the loving mother of Robert W. Beebe III of Stewartsville, NJ, Sylvia C. Vettese of Barrington, NJ, and Stephanie L. Beebe of Medford Lakes, NJ. She is also survived by her parents Raymond and Dolly Colon of Camden, NJ; her brothers James of NC, John of MA, Moses of Lancaster, PA, and Joseph of Camden, NJ; her sister Helen Ciasullo of Cinnaminson, NJ; and her 5 grandchildren Lee, Alex, Kati and Elijah Beebe and Vinnie Vettese.
Sylvia was a member of the Fellowship Alliance Chapel, 199 E. Church Rd., Medford, NJ. Relatives and friends were invited to the viewing on Tuesday evening, May 7, from 5:00-7:00 pm at the Chapel, where a celebration of her home going was held at 7:00 pm. Interment was on Wednesday, May 8, in the Brigadier General William Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Funeral arrangements were under the direction of the Bradley & Stow Funeral Home, 127 Medford-Mt. Holly Rd. (Rt. 541) Medford, NJ, 609-953-7600.
