JAMES F. McCOLLIGAN, 1946-1998

James F. McColligan died on April 9, 1998, in Hahneman Hospital, Philadelphia, PA, at the age of 52 years. He was born in Scranton, PA, grew up in Bellmawr, NJ, and had been a resident of Country Lakes, Browns Mills, NJ, for 23 years before his death.

Jim was a U.S. Army veteran and worked as a dispatcher for SEPTA, in Phila. He was a Life Member of the Country Lakes Fire Co., where he served as a Fire Chief for 11 years, and he had served as a Special Officer for the Pemberton Township Police Department.

Jim is survived by his wife, Sara L. (nee LeComte), three sons, James F., III, and Stephen P., both at home, Robert J., of the U.S. Air Force, Norfolk, VA, one grandson, Stephen J., at home, his mother, June Dennison, of Bellmawr, one brother, Stephen E., of Bellmawr, and one sister, Jane Hatton, of Franklinville.

A viewing was held on Monday evening, April 13, from 7:00-9:00 pm and on Tuesday morning, April 14, from 9:00-10:00 am at the Lankenau Funeral Home. The funeral service followed the Tuesday viewing, at 11:00 am, at the Funeral Home. Interment took place at Woodbury Memorial Park, Thorofare, NJ.
