John III was the devoted father of John L., IV, Matthew S., Bradley S., Robin L. and Christy L. He was the loving brother of Susan Bada (John) and Steven Smith (Janice). He was the dear grandfather of Amanda R. Smith. John is also survived by several nieces and nephews. John was a member of the VFW Post #3324 in Runnemede and the Stetser LaMartine American Legion Post #281. He worked as an Elevator Mechanic through the Local 5 Union in Phila., PA. Relatives and friends were invited to attend the viewing Wednesday morning, OCtober 11, 2006, from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at the Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede, NJ, and the funeral service at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Interment was in Northwood Cemetery, Phila., PA. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in John's memory to the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia Foundation, 34th & Civic Center Blvd., Phila., PA 19104 or to Heartland Hospice, Sherwood Professional Bldg., 800 Jessup Rd., Suite 808, Thorofare, NJ 08086.
